Vehicle Security in Worthing & West Sussex
Protect Your Car From Keyless Theft — Professionally Installed
Vehicle theft in Sussex has risen by over 70% in four years. Modern keyless cars can be stolen in under 60 seconds using relay devices available online for under £100. Factory alarms do nothing. The solution is aftermarket security that criminals can't beat with a handheld device — and that's exactly what we fit.
Juicy Car Care offers professional vehicle security installations across Worthing, Brighton, Hove, and the surrounding West Sussex area, working in partnership with Autotech UK to deliver accredited, insurance-recognised security systems.
Protect the Paint. Protect the Car.
At our Findon Valley unit in Worthing, we offer something no mobile detailer can: full vehicle protection in a single visit.
Bring your car in for a ceramic coating — and leave with the paintwork protected from the elements and the car protected from theft. A Ghost immobiliser or GPS tracker can be fitted at the same time, with no extra journey and no downtime.
It makes sense. You've invested in your car's appearance. Protect what's underneath the bonnet too.
What We Install
Ghost Immobiliser (Autowatch Ghost 2)
The Autowatch Ghost is the world's first CAN bus immobiliser — and the most effective anti-theft device available for modern vehicles. It requires the driver to enter a unique PIN sequence using the existing buttons on the steering wheel, dash, or door panels before the engine will start. There are no key fobs to clone, no wires to cut, and no visible hardware for a thief to find. Without the PIN, the car simply won't move — even if the thief has the original keys.
Keyless relay theft targets the signal from your key fob, not the car itself. The Ghost bypasses that entirely — your keys can be cloned and it still won't start.
GPS Tracking (Thatcham S5 & S7 Approved)
A Thatcham-approved GPS tracker is now a mandatory requirement for insurance on many high-value vehicles. We install Category S5 and S7 approved tracking systems with 24/7 monitoring centres, nationwide recovery networks, and mobile alerts. If your car moves without you, you'll know about it instantly.
S5 trackers include driver identification. S7 trackers offer ADR (Automatic Driver Recognition) via a tag carried by the driver. Both are recognised by major insurers and can reduce premiums for high-value vehicles.
Vehicle Alarms
Factory alarms are designed to meet a minimum standard — nothing more. We install aftermarket alarms with perimeter sensing, tilt sensors, glass break detection, and dual-zone shock sensors — more sensitive, harder to bypass, and configured for your specific vehicle.
Van Security & Deadlocks
Vans are one of the most targeted vehicle types in Sussex. A van deadlock fitted to the rear and side doors operates independently of the factory lock — meaning even with a relay tool on the central locking, the deadlock stays shut. If your van carries tools or equipment, a deadlock is the most cost-effective security upgrade available.
Dash Camera Installation
A professionally fitted dash camera is wired neatly into a switched feed, positioned correctly, and doesn't leave cables hanging across your windscreen. We fit front-facing and dual-channel (front and rear) systems, including models with parking mode for impact or motion detection while the ignition is off.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Ghost immobiliser and how does it work?
The Autowatch Ghost 2 is a CAN bus immobiliser fitted to your vehicle's existing wiring system. It requires the driver to enter a unique PIN code using the existing buttons in the car — such as those on the steering wheel or dashboard — before the engine will start. If the correct sequence isn't entered, the car will not move regardless of whether the thief has your keys. There are no visible components and no added fobs, making it impossible for a thief to detect or remove quickly.
Will a Ghost immobiliser affect my car's warranty?
The Ghost 2 is designed for non-destructive installation and can be removed without trace. In most cases it does not affect a manufacturer's warranty, but we recommend checking with your dealer before installation if you have a live warranty on a newer vehicle.
Does a Ghost immobiliser affect car insurance?
Many insurers view Ghost immobilisers positively and some offer premium reductions for vehicles fitted with one. You should notify your insurer when a Ghost is installed. It is not a Thatcham-approved product in the traditional sense, but it is widely recognised in the industry.
What is a Thatcham-approved tracker and do I need one?
Thatcham Research is the UK's motor insurance research centre. A Thatcham-approved tracker (Category S5 or S7) has been tested to a recognised standard and is accepted by insurers as a condition of cover for many high-value vehicles. If your insurer requires a tracker, it will usually specify a Thatcham S5 or S7 product. We install both categories.
Can a GPS tracker help recover a stolen vehicle?
Yes. Thatcham-approved GPS trackers include 24/7 monitoring and work with nationwide recovery networks. If your vehicle is moved without authorisation, the monitoring centre is alerted and can work with police to locate and recover it. Recovery rates for tracked vehicles are significantly higher than untracked ones.
How long does a Ghost immobiliser installation take?
Most installations take between one and three hours depending on the vehicle. We'll book a suitable time and come to you.
Is vehicle security worth it for an older car?
Older vehicles — particularly pre-2000s classics — are frequently targeted because they have no modern security at all. A Ghost immobiliser or quality aftermarket alarm on a classic is money very well spent.
I've had my car stolen before. What should I fit to prevent it happening again?
A Ghost immobiliser addresses the most common theft method (relay and key cloning). A Thatcham S5 tracker helps recovery if a theft does occur. Fitting both gives you the strongest possible protection and the best chance of your insurer treating a future claim favourably. We'd recommend booking a free security consultation so we can assess your specific vehicle and advise accordingly.
Do you cover Brighton and Hove?
Yes — we cover Worthing, Brighton, Hove, Lancing, Shoreham, Littlehampton, Chichester, and the wider West Sussex area. Contact us to confirm availability for your location.
Who installs the security systems — are you qualified?
We install in partnership with Autotech UK, an accredited vehicle security supplier. All installations are carried out to a professional standard using approved, insurance-recognised products. Visit Autotech UK's website for further information on their accreditations.
