Paint Enhancement Packages
Restore gloss, clarity and depth with professional machine polishing tailored to your vehicle’s paint type and condition. I’ll always inspect the car first and advise honestly on what level of correction is realistic and worthwhile.
Stage 1 Paint Enhancement — from £350
Correction level: Typically 50–70% on normal paint systems.
Paint enhancement is a single-stage machine polish aimed at removing light swirl marks, wash marring and dullness to restore clarity and gloss.
Important note for hard paints:
Some vehicles with very hard clear coat (such as BMW, Audi, VW and Mercedes) may not achieve a meaningful result from a single-stage polish. In these cases, I’ll usually recommend Stage 2 correction instead so you’re not paying for a service that won’t deliver.
Includes:
• 0ppm safe wash & full decontamination
• Iron/fallout remover
• Clay bar treatment
• Single-stage DA machine polish
• Gloss enhancement
• Panel wipe
• Exterior trims, tyres & glass finished
Best for:
Cars with light swirl marks, faint scratches or dull paintwork on softer or medium paint types.
Stage 2 Paint Correction — from £495
Correction level: Typically 70–90%, depending on paint type and thickness.
Stage 2 correction uses a cutting stage followed by a refining stage to remove heavier defects and dramatically improve the finish.
Why Stage 2 is needed on some cars:
Brands such as BMW, Audi, VW and Mercedes often use very hard clear coats. These don’t respond well to a light enhancement. Stage 2 allows for proper cutting and refinement to achieve a noticeable, long-lasting improvement.
Advanced defect removal:
Localised wet sanding is available for deeper scratches or isolated defects where safe to do so. A paint depth gauge is used before any sanding or heavy correction to assess clear coat thickness and ensure the work is carried out safely. All machine polishing is carried out under professional high-CRI lighting to expose every defect, ensuring safe and accurate correction.
Includes:
• 0ppm safe wash & decontamination
• Clay bar treatment
• Machine compounding (cutting)
• Refining polish (gloss restoration)
• Panel wipe
• Gloss enhancer/protection
• Wheels & trims dressed
Best for:
Heavier swirl marks, deeper scratches, oxidised paint and dull/flat finishes – especially on harder clear coats.
New Car Machine Polish — from £250
Even brand-new cars often arrive with transport marring, light swirls or dealership wash damage. A refining machine polish boosts gloss and prepares the paint perfectly for ceramic coating.
Includes:
• Light refining machine polish
• Gloss enhancement
• Ideal preparation before Modesta or Cartec ceramic coatings
Best for:
Brand-new or nearly-new cars that need a proper prep before protection.
Optional Upgrades
Enhance your polishing package with targeted extras:
Localised wet sanding for deeper scratches (only after paint depth gauge inspection)
Headlight restoration
Glass polishing & water spot removal

MACHINE POLISHING FAQ
-
No — not when carried out professionally.
I use safe dual-action polishers, controlled pad/product combinations and professional high-CRI lighting to accurately assess the paint as I work.
A paint depth gauge is used where accessible to ensure the clear coat is thick enough for correction. Your vehicle is polished safely with no guesswork.
-
Not always.
Shallow marks, swirls and light scratches can often be removed or significantly reduced.
Deep scratches may require localised wet sanding, or may be too deep to remove safely without risking the paint.
I’ll always assess the car first and explain exactly what’s achievable.
-
Stage 1: One single polishing stage. Ideal for lighter defects and softer paints.
Stage 2: Cutting stage + refining stage. Needed for harder paints (BMW, Audi, Mercedes, VW) or heavier defects.
If your paint is too hard for Stage 1 to give a noticeable improvement, I’ll tell you honestly and recommend Stage 2 instead.
-
Stage 1: approx 3 hours - 1 day
Stage 2: approx. 6 hours - 2 days
New car machine polish: 2–3 hours
Wet sanding or additional defect removal may add extra time.
-
No.
All machine polishing is carried out indoors at my Findon unit, behind The Coffee Camp.
This controlled environment gives perfect lighting, no dust or wind, and allows for a higher-quality finish.
-
Absolutely — polishing can dramatically improve gloss and clarity on older paint.
Even 10–20 year old cars often see huge improvements.
I’ll assess the paint first and give honest advice on what level of correction makes sense.
-
Yes — polishing restores gloss, but a ceramic coating locks in that finish, protects it long term and makes washing far easier.
I offer Modesta and Cartec Ceramic Guard upgrades if you want ongoing protection.
-
Yes — every vehicle receives a full inspection before polishing, including:
Paintwork condition
Type of clear coat (soft/medium/hard)
Thickness readings (where accessible)
Identification of previous repairs
This ensures safe, accurate and honest correction.
-
I bring my own 0ppm purified water.
I do require access to a standard plug socket for polishing work — I carry 25m and 40m extension leads so distance isn’t an issue.
-
Yes — holograms, buffer trails and dealership “quick prep” marks can be safely removed with a refining polish or Stage 2 correction.
This is extremely common on brand-new cars.

Paint Correction in Worthing & West Sussex
Swirl marks. Light scratches. Dull, faded paint. These are some of the most common complaints from car owners in Worthing — and they're all fixable. At Juicy Car Care, we specialise in professional paint correction using machine polishing to restore your car's paintwork to a finish you probably haven't seen since it left the factory.
We cover Worthing, Brighton, Shoreham, Lancing, Littlehampton, Horsham and the wider West Sussex area.
What Is Paint Correction?
Paint correction is the process of removing imperfections from your car's clear coat using machine polishing. Swirl marks (those fine circular scratches you see in direct sunlight), light scratches, water spot etching, bird drop marks and oxidation are all types of paint defects that can be corrected.
The process uses a machine polisher — either a dual-action or rotary — combined with cutting compounds and finishing polishes to safely abrade the top layer of clear coat and level out the imperfections. Done properly, it leaves the paint looking deeper, glossier and completely transformed.
Paint Correction Services We Offer
Single Stage Polish: one pass with a light to medium compound, followed by a finishing polish. Removes light swirl marks and enhances gloss. Ideal for cars in reasonable condition that just need a boost.
Two Stage Correction: a heavier compound cut followed by a refining and finishing stage. Removes heavier swirl marks, moderate scratches and water spot etching. This is the most popular choice for cars that haven't been machine polished before.
Full Multi-Stage Correction: for cars with significant paint defects, heavy scratches or long-neglected paint. Multiple stages of cutting, refining and finishing to remove as much as 80–90% of surface defects. Often done before ceramic coating application.
What Causes Swirl Marks?
Most swirl marks come from poor washing technique — automatic car washes are the biggest culprit, along with dirty sponges, wrong drying methods and abrasive cloths. Even well-intentioned washing with the wrong products can introduce swirls over time.
The good news is that they're not permanent. Machine polishing removes the thin outer layer of clear coat where the swirls live, revealing clean, flawless paint underneath.
Paint Correction + Ceramic Coating
The most popular combination we offer. Paint correction first — to fix the paint and create a perfect base — then a ceramic coating on top to protect that finish and keep it looking that way for years.
A ceramic coating applied over uncorrected paint will lock in whatever's underneath it. That's why we always recommend correcting the paint first. The end result looks extraordinary.
Before and After — What to Expect
Paint correction results are dramatic. Cars that came in looking dull, swirled and neglected leave looking better than new. In direct sunlight you'll see the difference immediately — deep, reflective, swirl-free paint that turns heads.
We work methodically panel by panel, checking with inspection lamps at every stage to ensure even correction and no trace of the original defects.
